We went to Shojo with 6 people for a friend's birthday and had an amazing time!! Our server was so nice and made the occasion special for my friend's birthday. We tried a variety of dishes and really liked the calamari, popcorn chicken, and bao buns.

Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night. No reservation, but there was plenty of seating at the bar. I tried the bao and chicken wings. Everything had good flavor. Loveddd the soju seltzer the bartender recommended. Staff were very attentive and friendly, and there are some cool murals inside.

From entering the building to sitting, they got you! Bruh, I treated Tracy like a friend cause that's how she treated me. As a guest in her home, she rocks. Recommended beer and brought me this absolutely delish wine. The Winter Hill Sav Blanc. Omg it sooooooo good. It's a small estab limited menu but worth the visit. Food is so good and flavorful. Parking is trash, but location is close to so many other places

I called in here after finding it on a "best burgers in Boston" list. Right away, the service was awesome, over the phone they took my name and saved me a table while I walked over. Once I got there, the great service continued, everyone on staff was super welcoming, all smiles, and checked on me often without being overbearing. I started with their spin on a espresso martini--it was pretty good, a little overly sweet for my taste, but it was reasonably strong and pretty good. Then I got the burger with duck fat fries. With the burger, I was expecting some more acid to balance the richness of it, but I didn't really get that. It was still good overall and well-cooked, but I felt it needed a little something else. The fires were really good in my opinion, definitely more savory than regular fries. A little expensive as a $6 surcharge to the burger, but they give you a healthy portion (I could have easily split them) and the duck fat is obviously going to make them more pricey. I don't have too much to say about the ambiance, it seemed like a kinda standard casual-cool vibe. Overall, I felt that the value was good for an expensive city like Boston, I left satisfied, and I was really happy with the hospitality. I would definitely come back!

This restaurant hit the spot!! Their bao is delicious and flavorful 5/5!! I also got the popcorn chicken and that was delightful with a nice savory and tangy sauce to dip it into. The service was great and very helpful. The restaurant was very clean and had a small nice bar look to it. I definitely will be coming again!

We came here for Boston marathon day but around 2 pm so most the commotion had died down by then. When we got to Shojo, it was quiet which I was happy about. We were able to get a high table for two facing outside which was perfect. We started with the roasted bone marrow which was about a 8 inch bone with perfectly roasted bone marrow that was still hot and tender and two small scallion pancakes on the side. We assembled little pizza like things by adding half of the bone marrow to each pancake. The pancakes themselves were a bit bland but once it had the bone marrow it was good. The bone marrow was flavorful, juicy, and very soft. We ordered the shojonator with duck fat fries and wagyu beef dumplings. The shojonator was delicious. It had a ton of sauces and cheese inside so it was very flavorful and moist throughout. I didn't realize until more than halfway through but the patty was a bit raw for my liking. I should have specified how I wanted it cooked. The bacon was good but could have been a bit more crispy. The buns were very soft. The duck fat fries were unbelievably good. I love when fries are filled with oil and are soft and crunchy and these were just checking off every box. It's hard to describe. I liked the sauce it came with but I would have liked a little more. The wagyu beef dumplings were delicious. Very tasty and tender on the inside--lots of good juices. I would highly recommend this place. We arrived on the train to not have to deal with parking which was a great choice. It's less than a 10 minute walk from the station which is very convenient. The service was good. The food came out very quick.
